"Lonestar TV" is a new show all about Texas. This half-hour syndicated series features the sights, sounds and most importantly, the exceptional people, that make the Lone Star State so unique.
It's been called "Land of many lands" by James Michener; it was once a republic and it's the only state aside from the original 13 colonies that fought a foreign power for independence.
In fact, six different flags have flown over the state. A land of legend and lure, myth and lore. A state named for a friendly tribe of Indians, but also once home to some of the fiercest warriors the Native American nations ever produced is now a state of over 21 million inhabitants. Texas is, a land of many lands. Ranches and rivers, mountains and plains, hills and beaches, Texas is home to the fourth largest city in the U.S. In fact, four Texas cities rank in the top 20 cities by population. Texas is so famous outside of Texas, people from the world over know episodes from our history. From the battle for control of the Alamo to battle for control of the White House; from the settlement of the frontier to the opening of space exploration, Texas has always had a reputation as big as its size.
